Do you also switch your warm breakfast for a fresher and fruitier one at the first sign of sunshine? Then try the healthy açaí bowl! The açaí berry is a dark blue/purple fruit that grows on the açaí palm in the Amazon region (Brazil, Suriname, and Peru). The taste is somewhat reminiscent of blueberries and chocolate, making it perfect for a smoothie bowl. Additionally, the fruit is packed with vitamins and minerals! You can buy frozen açaí in a Brazilian supermarket or online.

Ingredients

Here's what you need for 2 servings:

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 200 grams of frozen açaí
  • 300 ml of oat or almond milk
  • 3 Medjol dates
  • Toppings of your choice
  • Add a scoop of Protein for extra protein

Preparation

Put all the ingredients except the toppings in a powerful blender until a creamy mixture forms. Is it still too thick? Then add a little more milk. Pour into two bowls and add toppings as desired. Think of fruit slices, coconut flakes, seeds such as hemp or chia seeds, and nuts. Muesli or homemade granola can also be a delicious topping!
